Meet the Whimzey twins, Todd Ramquist and Kiaralinda, who dreamed and created this oasis of joy and wonderland. It started with a little beige house in Safety Harbor, Florida, and now involves blocks of whimsy, art, music, and more. Whimzeyland exploded onto the art and music scene (exploded and created it!). Todd and Kiaralinda's labor of love was the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center (SHAMc)—an Odditorium music venue, art gallery, and more. You will feel their joy as you listen to their journey.

 The cool thing about my life and this podcast is that I get to meet the coolest people on the planet. I just finished chatting with Todd Ramquist and Kiaralinda the creators, dreamers and owners of Whimzeyland in Safety Harbor, Florida.
It's a rainy day in Sheboygan but these two exuded so much joy that my studio was brimming in energy. I believe we have the capacity to create the lives we dream of - the lives from which we need no vacation. It took me until I was in my sixties to craft my life in the Enchanted Cottage - living with a pack of relatively feral pups, developing my fused glass art work, and pestering my boss(es) at the JMKAC until I curated my dream job. These two connected when they were 13 and have been creating magic ever since - every day and everywhere they go. Be on the lookout for the next edition of Artists on the Air - I promise you will smile from intro to "see ya later." |
